We are the Crafts - of Kerrville. Although there are other "Crafts" in Kerrville, we were the original family. We began when Bill Craft, William Downing Craft, Jr., of Northport, Long Island, NY. Bill was stationed in Kerrville at the end of World War II and took his flight training out of Louis Schreiner Field, flying Stearman's out of that airfield. Somewhere along the line he met Marie Mosty, Marie Annaletta Mosty. And before long they were marrried and produced four children - Thomas "Tommy" Downing, Frances "Fran" Annaletta, Daniel "Danny" Richard and James Bruce - 1946 - 1951. Two children, Tomm and Bruce married their high school sweethearts and continue to live in Kerrville, Texas. Danny lived in Kerrville, Texas for a while as well as communities around Kerrville - finally landing in Winnsboro, Texas where he and his wife Judy lived until their deaths. Fran lived in Ingleside, Texas with her husband Thomas Ray Frakich. Fran ended up in Big Cabin, Oklahoma where she lives today with her daughter and son-in-law, Deedee & Bob. All siblings, and their mother, graduated from Tivy High School. Their grandfater, Harvey Mosty, also attended Tivy High School for a few years. Five generations of our family have attended Tivy High school. And so, we continue to inhabit Kerrville although some of us are in other parts of Texas and Oklahoma. It is safe to say, however, that we all still consider Kerrville, Texas our home base. |
